Choice. A marvellous thing?
This is a small part of my local newsstand's magazine display. The display itself stands 7 feet tall and 40 feet wide. That's a lot of reading material and it covers just about every niche imaginable. Guitars. Flying. Computers. Porn. Trains. Digital editing. Photography. Music. Film. Art. Etc. The choice is huge. It's like a microcosm of the internet- people can get just about everything they want, but they have to search for it. Unfortunately the newsagent doesn't have a Google equivalent! Does this mean the days of paper-based magazine's are numbered? Or just the days of huge newstand displays?
