Thought for the day - The smallest Masters field yet

I missed the local TV coverage of the first day of the Masters Tournament for Augusta yesterday. Luckily I managed to catch up on it through the BBC news website (and a couple of others)

I was very surprised to read that this is the smallest field ever entered for the Masters. If I read the reports correctly there are only 4 people playing:

1) Tiger Woods ("The Winner")

2) Greg Norman (Appearing in his first Masters for years)

3) Gary Player (Appearing in his last Masters)

4) Some guy called Campbell who, apparently, is looking after the lead until Tiger gets there.

Wonder what happened to the other 91 players who put their names down and were accepted?

  1. .. and it wasn't any of the four that the papers identified. What are the odds of that? :)

Welcome back after your break, Algo.
