The Passage of Time

I was writing my first Musings Cafe post of 2010 recently when I started to think about the milestone that 2010 itself is.

2010 is the first year in a new decade and the first new decade of the new century, nay the new millenium. Remember all the hoopla about the Y2K bug? That was 10 years ago.

Other things to make you go 'Huh!'

Many years ago when I used to go visit my fathers relatives in Ireland they would talk about people they knew and things that happened when they were younger. I used to listen to these stories and wonder about the people they were discussing and what life was really like 'all those years ago'. Nowadays I have the same conversations with people and I can actually remember the folks they were discussing. The discussions we are having now concern people in my lifetime - but they still talk about things that happened 'all those years ago'

The years are passing quicker than you think.

Don't waste them
